In the sports world, and even more so at the collegiate level, you often come across athletes with generational talent. This year, the FSN Team sat down and curated one of the most unprecedented lists of Freshman Talent, specifically for the 2025-2026 Season, across all arenas of Women’s Collegiate Rowing, being the first of its kind.
Elite athletes spanning from both coasts of the United States and roots “across the pond,” have cemented themselves as the premier paragon amongst their peers.
Each individual featured on this select list, have demonstrated their ability both at the domestic and international level, that they are more than ready to take on the demands of some of the best collegiate rowing programs in the nation. Their pure Rowing IQ ranges at some of the highest percentages in their class earning a proper “hat-tip” from the FSN Front Office.
Two Standout Freshman, Katie Dahl & Charlotte Van Der Wiele of the University of Tennessee were nominated as “Clutch Contenders” on the 2025-2026 FSN Pre-Season Athlete Power Rankings All-Division 1 Women’s Rowing, becoming the only Freshman Rowers in the sport chosen with FSN’s Annual Pre-Season Honors.
